In 2015, the median house price (the price of the house exactly halfway between cheapest and most expensive) in Ireland was €215,000. According to figures released yesterday, the median house price in Ireland in 2025, a decade later, is €370,000.
The “median” home is important because it is the home right at the middle of the market. In Ireland, that likely means a three bedroom semi detached home in a commuter town. The kind of place that younger employed people might find desirable to start a family in.
