As I explained in my other piece this morning, Fine Gael painting Catherine Connolly as a barrister who once worked for the banks in eviction cases while posing as an enemy of the banks in her political career cannot really be called a “smear”.
If there was anything untrue in what the Party was implying about Connolly, the candidate herself is a good enough Barrister to have lodged defamation proceedings in double-quick time.
