Until yesterday, this writer had not heard the name “Olaf Tyaransen” in years.
The former Hot Press writer was once reasonably well known in Ireland – a man with a rare gift for biting and insightful penmanship who moved freely in the “orts” world and was regularly bestowed with interviews by the great and the good – most prominently U2. We never met, for the simple reason that fellas with my political views do not move freely in that world.
