There is perhaps no topic on which this writer has been more at odds with his own readers than the subject of Donald Trump.
I need not recount at length here, for the sake of avoiding boring repetition, my objections to the Orange man. Suffice to say that I think his worst traits make him unsuitable for any office, most prominently his tendency to conflate personal praise of Donald Trump with moral virtue, meaning that the worst people in the world will get a fair hearing from him so long as they have the base cunning to say nice things about his golf courses or hotels. I also think he has a tendency towards personal enrichment that would scandalise us if he were of a different political persuasion, and a tendency to lie about everything and make you complicit in the deceit.
