Pope Leo is so hot right now. He is so popular that even former Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is taking guidance from the Holy Father. Not guidance on all the big issues, just on the stuff he agrees with.
The former Taoiseach took time out of his busy diary trashing rural Ireland to talk about God in his Sunday Times column. Varadkar found religion in a piece headlined “In God we trust — but not necessarily the leaders who invoke him. The world is moving closer to being dominated by theocracies, where politicians use religion as a way to quell dissent.”
