The Department of Social Protection Report for 2023 which we referred to yesterday with regard to social welfare payments also contains interesting information on the issuing of Personal Public Service (PPS) numbers.
In combination with their earlier reports dating back to 2010 and my own analysis of the figures for 2024, they provide a concise and updated summary of how the changing demographics are reflected in the breakdown of PPS issues.
