Independent Ireland, the political party led by Cork TD Michael Collins, has called for banks to re-introduce the 100% mortgage. Speaking on their proposal, the party said:
“It defies logic that someone can be trusted to pay €2,500 to a landlord but not be considered eligible to repay €1,800 to a mortgage lender.”
