My friend Niall Boylan invited members of the public to debate, on his show yesterday afternoon, whether alcohol should be banned on flights as Ryanair so desperately seems to desire. It absolutely should not be.
Regular readers will know, for starters, that few things “trigger” me like “should we ban X” discourse, whether X in that conversation stands for selling vaping products, advertising tobacco, music on ice cream trucks in the summer, buying alcohol before midday on a Sunday, or any of the myriad other things that Ireland has either banned, or debated banning, in recent years.
