There is a serious argument to be made that as people have fewer and fewer children, something of a regression into childhood is taking place among those who don’t step forward into the full adulthood typically signified by becoming a mother or a father.
An article out of the US in recent days caught my eye, suggesting as it did that the resurgence of toy shop chain Toys ‘R’ Us is being driven primarily by adult consumers rather than by children (or rather, than by people buying toys for children).
