Ireland’s government will opt to train non-Irish citizens in the use of artificial intelligence, rejecting suggestions that it should prioritise educating the local workforce instead.
Responding to a parliamentary question, Minister for Employment Peter Burke said the government had “no plans” to ensure Irish citizens get priority access to state-run AI training opportunities.
