Despite An Garda Síochána’s ongoing recruitment and retention crisis, some applicants have been waiting up to three years for their applications to be processed, with others even dropping out of the process due to the excessive wait time, this publication can reveal.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson confirmed to Gript that “there are a small number of candidates from the 2022 and 2023 competition still in the system.”
