Former Senator and Vice President of Fianna Fáil, Donie Cassidy, and his family have a substantial interest in, and have benefitted hugely from, their involvement in the provision of accommodation for Ukrainian refugees.
Cassidy was one of the stars of the Covid Panic when he was rumbled over his part in organising a get together of the Oireachtas Golf society in August 2020 at the height of the shut down when no one was supposed to be doing anything really other than delivering wine and groceries to the heroes and heroines who were hiding in their houses.
