With less than 2 days remaining before voting begins in the 2024 Irish general election, Fianna Fáil holds a narrow lead over Fine Gael and Sinn Féin, according to the latest Business Post RED C opinion poll.
The survey, conducted online with 1,004 voters over six days ending yesterday, shows Fianna Fáil steady at 21%, unchanged from the previous poll taken just over two weeks ago. Fine Gael has dropped by two points to 20%, while Sinn Féin has gained two points to reach the same figure of 20%.
Among smaller parties, the Social Democrats remain steady at 6%, while Labour has risen by one point to 4%. Aontú has dropped by one point to 4%, and the Greens are unchanged, also at 4%. Independent Ireland, however, has increased its support by one point to 4%.
Support for Independents has dipped slightly, now standing at 14%. People Before Profit-Solidarity remains steady at 2%, with other parties collectively at 1%.
The poll, which carries a margin of error of ±3%, highlights a tight race as the election nears.
