The European Union is to try and force a global AI “slowdown” in coordination with private US tech companies, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced.
In a keynote address this week, the Eurocrat downplayed Europe’s failure to develop its own frontier artificial intelligence system, claiming instead that the EU instead should focus on implementing AI developed elsewhere into the continent’s economies.
