The EU Pact on Migration and Asylum officially came into force on June 12, 2024 and will begin to be fully applicable across all member states on June 12, 2026.
The Irish state informed the EU Commission of how it intends to comply in March, and there has been much reference to it in recent Dáil responses from Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan.
