An application was registered with Dublin City Council on December 23 to inquire of the planning authority “Whether the continued use of residential apartments at 95 Dorset Street Upper, Dublin 1, D01HD50, where care is not provided, to provide accommodation for persons seeking international protection, is or is not development, and whether development constitutes exempt development or does not constitute exempt development?.”
That would suggest that the address is already being used as asylum accommodation under contract with the Department of Integration. As far as I can tell from the DCC planning portal there is no such existing exemption for that purpose.
