The Government’s plan to try and recruit more women into the Irish Defence Forces is “absolute rubbish”, a Senator has said.
Earlier this week, Defence Minister Helen McEntee said that it is a “priority” of hers to “diversify” the Defence Forces in “every way possible,” including “increasing the number of women” in the Irish military. She outlined a number of policies her Department was implementing to try and achieve this goal.
