Kim’s story, which was originally broken by Gript, has touched the hearts of thousands of people with over 172,000 people signing an online petition to try to save the dog.
85-year-old Donal Rogers, Kim’s loving owner, recently withdrew a notice of appeal from the high court on the advice of his barrister Ben Clarke.
Clarke, and solicitor Kieran Friel offered their services pro bono after being moved by Gript’s original article.
Gript believes Donal and his legal team plan to continue fighting for Kim in a different way.
The woman who was bitten by Kim, Breid Greene, has so far flatly refused to relent on her insistence that the little dog be put down.
