Social media influencer Andrew Tate has been indicted on charges of rape and human trafficking by prosecutors in Romania.
Tate’s brother Tristan and two others, reportedly women, have also been charged in relation to rape and human trafficking with all four denying the charges.
The British/American influencer and his brother recently spent three months in a Romanian jail after being arrested at their Bucharest home last December.
The charges laid down before a court in Bucharest relate to the alleged organisation of a criminal group in 2021 for the purposes of engaging in human trafficking in Romania, the US, and UK.
The former kickboxers who have millions of followers online are accused of recruiting women to engage in sexual activities by claiming to want a relationship with the alleged victims.
The brothers’ co-accused are reportedly model Georgiana Naghel, 28, and former Romanian police officer Luana Radu, 32.
The Tate brothers were arrested last December on suspicion of rape and human trafficking and were held in custody for three months before being released to house arrest.
Andrew Tate has strongly denied the accusations against him and his brother.
The former reality tv star who has 5.4 million followers on Twitter recently did an interview with the BBC from his home in Bucharest.
