Last week saw secondary schools of every ethos across Ireland don the rainbow flag and get their gay on for ‘Stand Up Awareness Week’, which came to them courtesy of State-funded, LGBTQ+ activist organisation BeLonG To.
Stand Up Awareness Week, in BeLonG To’s words, is about taking a stand against “homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying”.
