Three women, one of whom is reported to be pregnant, have been stabbed in Paris after they were attacked by a knife-wielding suspect.
The incident took place at about 9.30 am near Porte de Clichy in the French capital, with the attacker seen carrying two knives.

Part of the incident was captured on camera, with the suspect, having been brought to the ground, saying, “It is Allah who commanded me. I pay tribute to him; it was a courageous act.”
Two of the women are understood to be in a critical but non-life-threatening condition. The victims are aged 19, 24 and 36 years.
One of the injured women was stabbed in the abdomen while another was wounded in the back.
Interior Minister Laurent Nunez told reporters that one of the women targeted is expecting a baby and that the motive for the attack is unclear, with the suspect making a number of “incoherent” comments.
“I saw a young woman lying on the floor of the bar; she was covered in blood,” a witness told Le Figaro.
Issa Besseka, a worker for a local brasserie, said, “I saw the man approaching people, threatening them. He went towards a woman who hadn’t seen him coming, and he started stabbing her in the shoulder and buttocks.”
The mayor of Paris’ 17th arrondissement, Geoffroy Boulard, praised the officer who brought the suspect to the ground, saying, “I salute the cool-headedness, courage, and immediate action of an off-duty police officer and passersby.”
