A coalition of environmental and development NGOs is calling for Ireland to work towards paying €1.5 billion annually in international climate “Loss and Damage” finance by 2030. The proposal, if implemented would dramatically increase the State’s current contribution to global climate funding.
The demand is contained in a new report, which is due to be formally launched at an Oireachtas briefing hosted by Green Party leader Roderic O’Gorman in Leinster House tomorrow, 29 September.
