An Garda Siochana has responded to queries from Gript regarding the discovery of an imitation firearm in the city centre last Wednesday, with a video widely shared on social media showing armed gardaí in the Garden of Remembrance.
After a report of a gun being observed was called in, the Armed Support Unit joined Gardaí to carry out a check at around 11 am at the Garden of Remembrance in Parnell Square last Wednesday afternoon.
