Requesting the British Royal Navy to provide for the defence of an EU defence ministers meeting taking place in Wicklow is humiliating, but it only follows from what is arguably a more egregious use of Irish territory.
Which is that what is being described officially, and not entirely accurately, as an ‘Informal meeting of EU ministers responsible for defence’ is taking place at Druid’s Glen today.
