Gardaí have told Gript that investigations are still ongoing and no-one has yet been charged after a serious incident in Ballyjamesduff that left a woman in hospital which saw locals apparently intervene to lift a car to free a person who had been struck and was underneath the vehicle in the Co Cavan town.
The driver then left the scene of the incident.
