The Irish Food Board has put out a tender seeking a research agency’s help in understanding the “future of Poitín”, Ireland’s national spirit, in a number of markets including the US, the UK and domestically.
It does so seeing “untapped potential” in Poitín in light of recent global interest in “authentic heritage spirits” such as agave.
