Gardaí are investigating following the discovery of a man’s body at a recycling facility in Clondalkin, Co. Dublin, on Friday, July 24.
The deceased has since been identified as Andrew Haire (35).
Discovered shortly after 9pm on Friday, gardaí in Ronanstown are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Haire.
The Office of the Chief State Pathologist and the Garda National Technical Bureau were notified, and Mr Haire’s body was removed from the scene.
A post-mortem examination was conducted Saturday July 25, the results of which “will not be released for operational reasons”, according to a garda spokesperson.
An investigation has commenced under a senior investigating officer and an incident room has been established at Lucan Garda Station.
A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to assist Mr Haire’s family.
Mr Haire had made use of welfare and homeless services in the Dublin and Cork city centres in the recent past.
Gardaí are requesting the public’s assistance in establishing his movements between Friday July 17 and Friday July 24.
It is believed that Mr Haire was in Dublin, Kilkenny and Cork city centres during this time, a garda statement said.
“It is requested that anybody who knew or interacted with Mr Haire during this time or has any information which may be of assistance to this investigation to contact Ronanstown Garda Station on 01-666 7700, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111,” the statement said.
