Japan is attempting to deal with an alarming fall in replacement rate through births by launching a staggering plan to deploy ten million robots. Economy and Industry Minister Ryosei Akazawa stated that the plan was a means to address staff shortages even in low-skilled areas without having to open the doors to large numbers of immigrants.
