Matthew Keehan is an artist who grew up in Limerick, in what the Committee for Academic Freedom describes as a deprived council estate.
Limerick is the most underprivileged city in Ireland according to the HP Pobal Deprivation scores, and has a significantly higher school dropout rate than the national average, with a quarter of students not completing their Leaving Cert.
