The more one sees of Sinn Féin the more successful one realises the project has been to turn what was once a radical nationalist party into the ‘house trained’ entity that was desired by those who took it under their wing from the mid-1980s.
Last night they achieved what they are trumpeting as a great political triumph in having persuaded sufficient Government TDS – including for whatever bizarre reason the two rotating Taoisigh – to support a Private Members Bill to further liberalise abortion on demand.
