At 71, Jim Kirwan and his wife, Maureen, 66, are packing up their life in Dublin to emigrate to sunny Spain at the end of the summer.
He says it’s the only solution they can find to exorbitant rent and cost of living in Ireland – describing this reality as “a terrible indictment” on the Irish government.
