An asylum seeker who was found in possession of child sex abuse material claims to have been a victim of child sexual abuse himself.
The Guyanese man, who is 41 years of age, came to Ireland as an asylum seeker in 2017 before being granted citizenship in 2022, his defending counsel, Morgan Shelley SC, argued.
