As of this past weekend, a new Business Post / RedC poll is out, and while many commentators have already weighed in on the obvious headline figures, many are missing the most significant and obvious takeaway which shows starkly the direction of travel for Irish politics.
At face value, to the uninformed eye, it would appear as though Sinn Féin are the big winners in this poll, standing at 25% – a whole 9% ahead of their Government rivals. This, you would think, is cause for celebration among their supporters.
