There was no good news for the government parties in the weekend’s poll for Business Post/Red C which showed Fine Gael static at just 18 percent, while Fianna Fáil is down one point to 16 percent. The government is scrapping just over a third of potential voter support between them: a pretty dismal showing.
But Sinn Féin aren’t seeing the bump you’d expect a result of public dissatisfaction with housing, cost of living, immigration, healthcare provision, and a host of other issues. The party has added just one point to its support, bringing it to 24 percent.
