An application appeared yesterday on the South Dublin County Council planning portal requesting the planning authority to state whether the use of the Moat Lodge B&B on the Lock Road, Lucan, constitutes exempted development for the accommodation of persons seeking international protection.
As part of the detailed planning report, the agent for the contractor claims that allowing the change of use to accommodate asylum seekers would help to address the need for housing and social inclusion.
