There are roughly two ways of looking at this week’s announcement that the Republic is to invite the Royal Navy of King Charles III to provide maritime security in Irish waters, and which one you subscribe to probably depends on what colour of Irish nationalist you are.
For some of us, the invitation will be a humiliation. For others, it will be an outrage.
