On November 28, an application was registered with Dún Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council to inquire if “the use of the accommodation buildings at Blackglen View, Blackglen Road, Sandyford, Co. Dublin, to accommodate persons seeking international protection is or is not development and, if development, is it exempted development or not exempted development under Class 20F of the Planning and Development (Exempted Development) (No. 4) Regulations 2022.”
The buildings in question are two apartment blocks, A and B, containing a total of 39 apartments. Given that the application refers to buildings, plural, it would seem that the application covers both and that appears to be confirmed by the architect’s plans submitted.
