The Irish Refugee Council has once again worked itself into a fit of outrage, this time over the Government’s decision to offer up to €10,000 to asylum seekers who agree to withdraw their international protection claim and return home.
According to the Council, the policy is “unethical” and “deeply concerning,” and applicants should only ever be offered voluntary return after their case has been fully processed.
