The first debate between the three surviving Presidential contenders takes place on Virgin Media at 10pm tonight, and the answer to the question posed in the headline is easy: Heather Humphreys.
The conventional wisdom amongst all “serious” observers of the election, in the absence of any published opinion poll, is that Humphreys has a solid if not commanding advantage in the election. An online poll being conducted by the Farmer’s Journal of that newspaper’s subscribers reportedly has her winning close to 70% of the farming vote, while Fine Gaelers are confident that “their” vote is holding up for her in urban areas.
