Politicians are very fond of telling us that politics is a tough old business. Listen to any politician, active or retired, for more than five minutes and you’ll get the spiel: It’s about the national interest. Tough decisions. Putting the country first. Making the hard choices.
At the same time, if you listen to the current crop of Irish politicians, the number one challenge for Ireland politically and economically is not hard to divine. It is Donald Trump.
