Another week, another round of news stories highlighting the human cost and potential real and lasting harm of the establishment’s obsession with unachievable climate goals, from a killer road to advice to the Minister to avoid talking to a major energy provider.
First, the killer road. The planned upgrade to the A5 motorway had been in the works since 2007 and was set to cost £1.7 billion . That’s 18 long years: and in that time 57 people have been killed on what the Dáil heard is “Ireland’s most dangerous road”, “a deathtrap” and “a killer”.
