Two schools in Bray, County Wicklow have been closed by emergency order as Gardaî investigate a suspected murder in the area.
Investigators are examining the area near Bray School Project National School after the discovery of the body of a man who Gardaí believe suffered a violent death.
Nearby St. Fergal’s national school will also be closed today.
The man has been identified as 35-year-old William Moorhouse.
The man’s body was discovered in a playground yesterday in the Ballywaltrim area just after 6pm by a passer by.
It is believed that the deceased man sustained stab wounds.
Emergency services were called to the scene, with the man being pronounced dead on examination.
The scene has been preserved for forensic examination with a senior investigating officer appointed to lead the murder investigation.
An incident room has been set up at Bray Garda Station but not arrests have yet been made.
Investigating Gardaí suspect the victim is likely to have been stabbed during an argument.
