Two men were arrested earlier today by Gardaí from the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau as part of an ongoing inquiry into alleged insider trading.
The men are being held at a Dublin Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The investigation began after An Garda Síochána was alerted to a number of transactions by the Central Bank of Ireland.
“As this is an ongoing criminal investigation, a Garda spokesperson is not available,” Gardaí said in a statement.
