The Irish hate speech bill should be passed into law by early Autumn, Equality Minister Roderic O’Gorman has said.
O’Gorman, who was speaking to reporters today in Dublin following his election as Green Party leader, said during his acceptance speech that he would be urging the State to “do more” to ensure “the safety of minorities” within Ireland by “legislating to outlaw hate crimes.”
