The great lesson from the Cass Report on the myths of “transgenderism” is this: Enoch Burke was right. Perhaps not quite right in how he responded to his deranged head-teacher’s demands that he should allow his pupils choose their own pronouns, but right in his refusal to implement a sex-identification policy upon his classrooms that was at odds with both science and his religion. Naturally, he is a figure of fun in Dalkey, that devil’s earth-station of fashionable ideas and progress, but those less deluded by modernism’s lethal heresies should proclaim as a hero of our times.
For those living in a hermitage on Rockall who get their weekly life-saving Gript delivered by seagull, the Cass Report was a scathing and science-based demolition of the diseased “gender” identification industry in Britain. The eminent psychiatrist Hilary Cass found that the evidential base for “gender care” – my inverted commas – in young people was almost non-existent, with improvements made almost impossible by the toxic public discourse around gender. Well, it didn’t take long her for her to discover what “toxic discourse” meant, for she was promptly hit by one that was so vile that she has withdrawn from a second proposed study into the effects of “transitioning” upon adults.
