Yesterday at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin a Romanian national who was previously sentenced to 20 years for sexual assault in Spain was sentenced to 19 years for raping a woman in Ireland after moving here.
Reporting on the case my colleague Maria Maynes wrote that the man, Liviu Tenea, posed as a taxi driver, and that when his victim got into his vehicle he drove her to a dark, remote location before “brutally” raping her.
