Here’s a fun thought experiment: If a member of the dreaded and most fearful far right in Ireland were somehow to be allowed to air their views on RTE (like I said, it’s a thought experiment) and, in the context of the immigration debate, said that the massive increase in population in Ireland was leading to serious pressure on schools, hospitals, and housing, what would the reaction be?
