Videos are circulating online of an Egyptian migrant who is alleged to have been assaulted by members of security at the City West direct provision centre in Dublin.
Footage of City West Hotel Security Guards using force towards a refugee asking for food. They took his phone and evicted him for asking for food. Shameful action. Racism alive and well in Ireland. #AbolishDirectProvision pic.twitter.com/FFw1mxpn8R

We also contacted Say No to Direct Provision Ireland in an attempt to speak with the alleged victim, but received no response.
Last year Say No to Direct Provision Ireland was exposed for falsely claiming migrants at a direct provision centre in Salthill county Galway were being served dinners in plastic bags.
“They also claimed that when people in the centre complained to the management they were threatened that this would “affect their case” for asylum.”
The video was watched 200,000 times and retweeted by People Before Profit before being exposed as a hoax.
