A fifteen-year-old arrested for allegedly stealing a naggin of Smirnoff vodka in Dublin city centre was found to be in possession of a knuckle duster.
Reportedly the alcohol was found with the security tag still attached when the teenager was apprehended by police in the Temple Bar/Dublin 2 area.

Subsequently, when he was searched, police found a knuckle duster on his person.
The teen was taken from Asdills Row to Kevin Street Garda station, and was then released into his parents’ custody. He is reportedly to be referred to the Garda Youth Diversion Office.
A Garda spokesperson said investigations into the matter are ongoing.
