I’ve lived in Dublin my entire life, born and raised. And while it was never perfect, it was at least predictable and consistent, if nothing else.
Of course, we’d have the occasional power outage once every three years or so, and it was a bit inconvenient. But it was a freak event and usually understandable – maintenance is sometimes needed, system upgrades are necessary, and occasionally, a bit of disruption is to be expected. It was a brief hiccup that was usually quickly resolved and telegraphed long in advance so you could make appropriate preparations ahead of time.
